You will explore the use of the Procreate App with some of its various features. Course includes 5 hours of instruction, plus assignments. This fun class is designed to introduce you to important drawing fundamentals. You will first practice and improve your fine motor skills and pencil control through shading and shadow exercises. Learn how to turn flat shapes, such as circles, squares and triangles into spheres, cubes, pyramids and cones made of different materials – and combine them to describe objects placed in a 3D setting using 1, 2, and 3 point perspective rules. You will also learn how to see and describe shapes found within reference images and objects, and use this knowledge in planning your own artwork. A lesson in digital colors, values, light and shadows will help you understand how to render your drawings in a more thoughtful but simple manner. Finally, an introduction to drawing faces. We’ll apply all the principles learned throughout the week to help you accurately describe and digitally paint a human face. After each class, there will be homework assignments to practice what was learnt.
